Thoughts On Worship

Thought #1: A song I composed some years ago as a teaching on praise and worship. We must have a desire to be in the Father's presence, we must know the Father's desire for us to be in His presence, we must know what His blood has done for us, and we must be properly prepared.

I shall go up into the hill of the Lord, to stand in His holy place.

I will enter His gates with thanksgiving in my heart, I will enter His courts with praise.

I will come with clean hands and a heart that is pure,

I will humble myself in the sight of the Lord.

I will enter the holiest with confidence, I will enter by the blood of the Lamb.

Psalm 24:3-4 Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

Psalm 100:4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

James 4:10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

Hebrews 10: 19-22 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; And having an high priest over the house of God; Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
